HELP! How to get Christmas lights on an 80 foot pine tree (please read!)?
Ok. I have an 80 foot tall pine tree in my front yard, about 12 feet from my house. I would like to wrap that sucker in Christmas lights this year, however there is nowhere to put a bucket or lift to get up there ( our yard is along a main street and there is no driveway as the house sits about 50 feet above the street in our yard & the only acess to the house or yard is up two flights of stairs, and the backyard is sunken from an alley and the only acess to the house from there is down two flights of stairs from the alley). I’m just pre-planning a little, not gonna put ‘em up in July so don’t worry lol. So, any ideas on HOW I can get lights on that thing without a lift of any kind? thanks in advance! God bless!!!

a bow and arrow tied to fishing tackle..shoot over the top of the tree WITH GREAT CAUTION. the tackle tied to heavier line. heavier line bringing up four strands of lights.
You will need over 300 feet of lights.
tape all the connections together
You will need luck and the right species of pine.
Or you could call Peter Parker and ask him to help.
So far I come up with you are SOL. Sorry.
Chandelier hangers and painters have battled all kinds of height dilemmas. You could rent scaffolding from a tool or home improvement store and have the personnel set it up for you. Scaffolding also comes in pieces and is installed on site not assembled before. They will also install safety rails for you on site so you won’t fall.
Another tip from me is to switch to LED lights. You can get a lot of lights on the reels and you can connect more sets together than regular light sets and they last longer! Save on energy too! If you don’t like that cool white color you can get warm white instead.
