Best canister vacuum in 0-0 price range?
We have a 2-story home with carpet on the stairs. One cat living inside and out. About half hardwood floors and half carpet (down the road to be replaced with hardwood). I am not to lift more than 10 lbs. Don’t want to spend a lot of money on one but am willing to pay enough to get the best performance and a reliable product. All recommendations are appreciated.

I can tell you what canister vacuum NOT to buy in your price range, and that’s the little yellow one Kenmore puts out. It’s only about $ 40 and it isn’t worth $ 4. Perhaps a Dirt Devil. They’re reasonably priced and not a bad name for what you want to pay for one. I’ve owned them and was pleased for the price. But, as far as canisters go, I liked my Hoover the best. But, that one was over $ 350.
